Walmart Selling a $199 gOS Based PC, And they think this will sell?

Ad Stuff, Software, Tech News

Officially I like the idea f the gOS based computer You can read more about it here. 3D34B9D2-0FD9-4864-9FE6-D814995E6EF2.jpgI’m just not sure the Walmart crowd will appreciate anything other than it’s price. They certainly will wonder where Windoze went as that’s what they are used to. The OS = Unbuntu Linux and is being sold under the premise of “Linux for Human Beings (Who Shop at Walmart)”On the bright side I like the use of Google applications and services offered at the core of the OS. That and a hefty dose of social apps and open source software make it a very compelling Windoze alternative.

I think open source developers and geeks are a ripe audience. Not a soccer Mom or a consumer looking for a bargain. How would you market this knowing the Walmart audience? Does Walmart have demo units up and running for users to try?
